The Skagen painter Ninus Simonsen was discovered dead in his studio yesterday, Saturday, July 10, 1909, in a pool of vomit, foam, and blood by his friend Michael Ancher.<\/p>\n
Although the studio was secured from the inside, preliminary inquiries indicate that a crime might have been committed because Ninus was discovered wounded after taking a severe blow to the back of the head.<\/p>\n
According to Ancher, Ninus\u2019s wife, Pauline Simonsen, and the maid, Miss Klara Skagen, left on Friday, and efforts are underway to locate them.<\/p>\n
